What is hair botox?
Hair botox is a deep conditioning treatment. There is no Botox in it and nothing is injected. The nickname comes from what it does: it fills out and smooths a rough, tired hair fibre. The formula is a concentrated mix of proteins, amino acids and vitamins that we work through your hair and leave to absorb.
At Koukla it’s our lower-cost alternative to a keratin treatment. It won’t straighten your hair. It calms frizz, puts softness and shine back, and makes dry or colour-treated hair far easier to manage.
Hair botox or keratin: which one?
- Hair botox conditions first. Hair feels softer and looks glossier, frizz drops, and your natural wave or curl stays. $100 to $150.
- A keratin treatment smooths more and lasts eight to twelve weeks. From $300.
- Nanoplasty gives the sleekest finish of the three and lasts three to six months. $350 to $550.

How long does hair botox last?
As a general guide, two to four months. Washing a little less often and using a sulphate-free shampoo keeps it going longer. It fades gradually, so there is no regrowth line to worry about.
